I can't tell you how relieved I am that the US election madness is nearly over. I have been obsessed with keeping up on events in the US - spending hours on pollster, politico and realclearpolitics dot com - made even more pointless by the really slow Internet connectivity we have here in the UK. I have been downloading the audio podcast versions of Countdown and Rachel Maddow during the wee hours of the night and then listening to them in the morning as I sip my coffee. I made myself leave my laptop in London when I went to Ambleside just to get away from the election.



I went to see an exhibit of Dr. Who, just as it was announced that David Tennant will not be returning to the series. (He's currently starring in Hamlet here in London. Tickets were sold out the minute they went on sale.) The exhibit featured props and costumes from David Tennant episodes. I will be mailing a couple of Dr. Who packages later this week...
